  • Provision of Lose.Pet service - animal identification and connecting finders with owners
  • Order fulfillment and invoice issuance
  • Communication with users

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Data processing is based on:

  • User consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

5. Data Retention Period

  • Order data: 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax obligation arose (in accordance with accounting regulations)
  • Tag and pet data: Lifetime, to ensure continuity of animal identification service
  • Technical data (logs, IP): 1 year

6. Right to Data Deletion

The user has the right to request deletion of tag and pet data after providing proof from a veterinarian in the form of an animal euthanasia certificate.

In such cases, data will be deleted within 30 days of receiving the documentation.

7. Data Security

All sensitive data (email, phone, name, address, pet data) is stored in encrypted form using the AES-256-GCM algorithm. Decryption of data without the 32-character encryption key is impossible.

8. Data Sharing

Data is shared only with:

  • Animal finders (in the "Found Animal" process) - only owner contact details after 2FA verification
  • IT service providers (hosting, email) - to the extent necessary to provide services

The user has the right to:

  • Access their data
  • Rectify data
  • Delete data (according to point 6)
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
